A complete survey about a complex question : reading. Le point sur la lecture tries for the first time in the domain of didactics to make a complete survey about questions concerning the reading act, which supposes a reader, a text, and an interaction between a reader and a text. This survey studies the importance of reading in the different methodological approaches : dimension concerning the reader (visual perception, organization of the memory, information processing ...). It proposes advices for pedagogical interventions and emphasizes on different markers to guide the second-language teacher.
